What Coaching Will Do For You

If you want to make some big changes that have been eluding you, here is how an executive coaching engagement will support you to build your capacity to get meaningful and practical results. It will help you:

  • Get clear on what you really want,
  • Identify the limiting beliefs and other obstacles that are getting in your way,
  • Replace limiting beliefs with more empowering thought patterns,
  • Put together a plan that will take you from where you are to where you want to be, and,
  • Give you the structure, encouragement, and accountability to take and follow through on the necessary action steps to make your vision a reality- particularly when you are busy, don’t want to do it, don’t feel you can do it, and might just give up.

By doing so, coaching supports you in getting what you most want far more quickly, thoroughly, and cost effectively than might otherwise seem possible. Studies show that on average, coaching produces over a 500% to a nearly 800% Return on Investment.¹

The Coaching Process

As your coach, I am your ally who is 100% committed to your success. With one-on-one coaching, we typically begin with your completing a packet of written questions designed to help you get clear on where you are, what you want, and what your goals for our work together are. We then will have an initial Discovery session which lasts 2 hours. At that time, we will discuss your goals, the issues you would like to explore, what motivates you, and what holds you back. We will then design how we will work together so that the coaching is most powerful for you.

With each week’s coaching session, you decide what you would like coaching on, keeping in mind your goals for our work together, and building from our previous discussions. We then explore the topics together for an hour. While some clients prefer that I coach them in person, most prefer the convenience and flexibility of the telephone. Either way, I typically ask lots of questions, reflect back to you what I am hearing you say, provide you with frameworks, support you in seeing issues from new perspectives, help you align with what you most value, and support you in moving forward. During each session, we co-design the homework that will help you make the most progress toward your goals. Throughout, you will be challenged and supported to be and do what you may not have thought was possible. Feel free to give me a call to discuss what this might mean for you.

One option available to you as we do our work together is to use a Leadership Circle 360 Profile to assess your leadership. This assessment is the preeminent leadership assessment in the industry and will offer you rich feedback to accelerate your learning. Click here for more information about it.
